New Faces at Moore Engineering!

We are excited to welcome several new employees to the Moore Engineering team. Learn more about them below.

Katie Sobolik | Professional Engineer II

Originally from Reynolds, ND, Katie’s journey has taken her from the University of North Dakota to Williston, where she spent six years honing her skills. Her first two years were in the oil and gas industry as a hydraulic fracturing engineer, followed by four years in civil engineering with a focus on site design and municipal projects. Katie loves contributing to the infrastructure we rely on daily. Outside of work, she enjoys running, gardening, and cooking.

She is located in our Williston office.

Luke Henderson| GIS Analyst

Luke Henderson is rejoining Moore Engineering. He previously worked with us as a GIS Technician over 2 years ago and has since gained experience in GIS development and drone mapping at Pima County, Arizona.

Recently relocated back to Minnesota with his wife and three kids, Luke enjoys drone photography, working on cars, and spending time outdoors.

He is located in our Plymouth office.

Stephen Bradley | Survey Crew Chief II

Having grown up moving frequently as his dad was a pastor, Stephen eventually settled in Fargo, where he’s lived for over 30 years. He studied at Dickinson State and NDSU, and he now resides in South Fargo. What Stephen loves most about his career is the variety it brings—no two days are the same, and he’s always meeting new people and exploring new places. Outside of work, you’ll find him riding his motorcycle or out walking his basset hound and two basset mix pups.

He is located in our West Fargo office.

Bruce Lytle, PE | Senior Project Manager

Over his more than 40-year career, Bruce has specialized in surface and groundwater hydrology studies, with particular emphasis in creating innovative solutions to water resource issues, development of water supplies, water rights, mining hydrology, and environmental studies. He has managed several aquifer storage and recovery (ASR) projects, as well as numerical modeling of ASR projects, surface/groundwater flow modeling, and modeling of contaminant transport through porous media. Bruce also has a comprehensive understanding of water quality concerns and environmental remediation of surface and groundwater resources.

He is located in our Lakewood, Colorado office.

Maura Metheny, PhD, P.G. | Water Resources Group Leader

Maura is a hydrogeologist with over 25 years of groundwater modeling and contaminant transport experience including density dependent flow. For the past several years, she has been involved in permit modeling for mounded groundwater calculations, pit lake infilling, and solute transport from rapid infiltration basins. Dr. Metheny is an active member in several professional organizations as well as being a board member at My Nature Lab, an educational organization in Louisville, Colorado.

She is located in our Lakewood, Colorado office.

Chris Fehn, PE, P.G. | Water Resources Group Leader

Chris Fehn, P.E., P.G., specializes in predictive modeling of complex reservoir systems, HCU analyses and change cases, all aspect of deep and shallow well drilling, augmentation plans, lawn irrigation return flow analysis, and more. Mr. Fehn is an alumnus of the Colorado School of Mines Geological Engineering Department and has been with LWS for over 10 years.

He is located in our Lakewood, Colorado office.

Ben Bader | Project Hydrogeologist

Ben has experience in stochastic surface water modeling, including reservoir diversions and ground water modeling using MODFLOW. He has also analyzed data, developed model input files, conducted field studies, and worked with Colorado water rights. Ben holds a master’s degree from the Colorado School of Mines.

He is located in our Lakewood, Colorado office.

Anna Elgqvist | Project Engineer

Anna Elgqvist, EI, is a graduate of the Colorado School of Mines where she majored in Geological Engineering. Her experience includes the use of MODFLOW, model input files, and field observation of drilling, completion, and testing of Denver Basin aquifer wells, as well as water rights valuations. Anna also has experience in data research and development.

She is located in our Lakewood, Colorado office.

Dan Rowe | Construction Engineer

Dan Rowe, M.S., EI, is an alumnus of the Colorado School of Mines where he achieved both his bachelor’s and master’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. His experience includes field engineering, performing site monitoring during construction and development of wells, and analysis of field data. Additionally, Dan has a background in commercial and residential construction.

He is located in our Lakewood, Colorado office.

Marlena McConville | Senior Hydrogeologist

Marlena McConville, M.S., has over 3 years of experience in numerical groundwater modeling and field work focused on monitoring well drilling and hydraulic aquifer testing. Marlena is proficient with the groundwater numerical simulator (MODFLOW) in addition to geographic information system software (GIS). Marlena achieved a master’s degree in Geology from the University of Oklahoma.

She is located in our Lakewood, Colorado office.

Courtney Hull | GIS Technician II

She previously worked as a Geographic Information Systems Analyst at the Inked Land Company, where she used environmental and geographical data to assess the suitability of parcels for renewable energy installation. She also worked at the US Forest Service, where she was responsible for designing a spatial database for the Gulf Atlantic USFS Region.

She is located in our Lakewood, Colorado office.

Amelia Rankin | Staff Hydrogeologist

Amelia Rankin is a Staff Hydrogeologist with a background in site characterization, water treatment operations, data analysis, water quality field work, geochemistry, and GIS utilization.
