#1 Professional Engineer – Municipal

To be considered for this position, applicants must be able to consistently commute to one of our office locations. You can find a list of our office locations on our website.

A Professional Engineer is needed to join the Municipal sector and take on the responsibility of planning and designing civil and/or land development projects for private and public entities. Key responsibilities include directing and designing plans, preparing engineering documents, monitoring project budgets, and overseeing personnel. Establishing and nurturing relationships with clients and contractors is also crucial to success in this position

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, be a registered Professional Engineer in the state of ND or able to obtain registration within six months, have a minimum of four years of experience in the field, and possess a complete and thorough knowledge of engineering principles and practices.

#2 Project Manager – Municipal, Plymouth, or St. Cloud

The Project Manager position is critical to the growth of the Municipal Sector at Moore Engineering. The role requires that candidates have excellent client relationship management skills, project management skills, and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. 

In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients. This position comes with a range of responsibilities, such as overseeing assigned projects, developing project work plans, ensuring adherence to Moore Engineering standards and policies, and traveling for project coordination and client meetings.

Ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of work experience in civil engineering, a complete and thorough knowledge of engineering principles and practices, the ability to market and sell engineering services, and the ability to lead and supervise project teams.

#3 Transportation Group Leader

This position is available to those who can reliably commute to any of our Minnesota office locations listed below

  • Plymouth

  • Fergus Falls
  • Bemidji

The Transportation Group Leader at Moore Engineering is a crucial role responsible for overseeing the performance of the Technical Production Design group. This involves managing employees, building project teams, monitoring performance in accordance with company standards, and maintaining communication with other Group Leaders and the Office Manager. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, six or more years of engineering experience, and excellent communication skills. They should also possess a thorough knowledge of engineering principles and practices, and be able to supervise and mentor personnel effectively.

#4 MicroStation CADD Technician

We are hiring a MicroStation CADD Technician to join us in our West Fargo or Bismarck office.

The MicroStation CADD Technician is critical for supporting their assigned group by creating finished drawings using sketches, notes, layouts, details, and verbal instructions. They are responsible for analyzing input material to determine the best approach for completing the drawings accurately and on time while adhering to project schedules and company design standards. Additionally, they may be required to coordinate with other operators on larger projects and assist less experienced technicians. The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, work experience in Civil Engineering, proficiency in MicroStation, and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks. Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D software is a plus!

#5 CADD Standards Coordinator

The CADD Standards Coordinator is an essential role responsible for the planning, training, and performance of CADD users across the company. The role involves leading the development of CADD standards, procedures, and implementation, as well as coordinating updates to the CADD Standards Manual. Additionally, the coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of deliverables and implementing new products and technologies to increase efficiency. The ideal candidate will have an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, relevant CADD experience, expertise in Civil 3D, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a valid driver’s license. Understanding of Revit software, GIS, and MicroStation Bentley products is preferred.
